I'm not totally inactive, I'm still poking around with my cameras and working part time at my design job. It's just that I've been preoccupied with my biggest project to date which began sometime in mid-January and will be completed around October 12.

Then, I'm told, the real hard work begins.

...but a master of none.

While I realize that heredity, personality, the dynamics of the amorphous intelligence quotient, a short projected life-span and a whole rainbow of other limitations will keep me from completely understanding everything, it's never stopped me from trying.

Why the hell not?

It's not like I have anything better to do.

Portland is gripped in winter's Icy Hand of Death(tm). The driveway is a sheet of solid ice. My car doors are frozen shut. The beasts think I'm making cold wet stuff fall from the sky and accumulate on the ground just to annoy them. Saturday is my birthday and I've got six rolls of film just aching to be developed and no way to get downtown to process them.

But I'm keeping myself entertained just the same.
